Vida en Marte?

En unos tiempos en los que ya el hombre anda metiéndose en Marte buscando, explorando el planeta rojo, y entre que si sí o no se encontró ya la presencia del "liquido vital" allá, se confirma lo adelantado que estaba David Bowie a su época... y quien sabe tal vez aun lo esta... (y por eso habemos quienes no entendieron bien que paso con el Buddhist of Suburbia...) eso... o el triste hecho de que estamos hoy igual que hace 40 años...

Y esque es sorprendente como a principios de los 70's Bowie lanza Hunky Dory que incluia "Life on Mars?" y que hoy en dia la letra es tan vigente como entonces... e incluso hasta mas... seria perfecta para describir este mundo en el ke vivimos, y tal vez por eso han habido tantos covers a lo largo del tiempo, incluyendo a Seu Jorge que ya habia posteado por aca hace un rato... o el de los Flaming Lips en At War with the Mystics...

En cada una de las versiones se refleja y se escucha el mismo tono triste, desepcionado, pero a pesar de todo con esperanza... con esa pregunta que tanto y tanpoco puede significarse... puede ser solo una pregunta al aire o tener tanto sentido... Is there Life on Mars?... como preguntando queriendo tener esperanza de que alla tal vez las cosas sean diferentes... En el caso del cover de Seu Jorge... lo hace un poco mas explicito ya que en si la letra es diferente.. y no solo en idioma ya que el señor es de Brasil...sino en lo que habla.. pero al final con ese tono triste que cierra esperanzado con la referencia a la vida en Marte...

Desde una niña con su amigo imaginario que se refugia en la televisión, con una madre que le nega y un padre que la aparta... cuyos sueños ya fueron ahogados y repitiendo lamisma aburrida historia una y otra vez... Hasta la vida americana y la total comercializacion de todo...desde Mickey hasta Lenon, con referencias al "socialismo" comercial que manejaba este ultimo... y su "Working Class Hero"... Gente peleando como cavernicolas, los que debieran defender jodiendo al inocente... es el show estelar... despues de todo esto... apoco no nos preguntamos si habra vida enalgun otro lugar?... tal vez estariamos rodeados de algo mejor...
